WV: Boon County Acquaintance Shot after Breaking into Home
According to the Boone County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were called to Hurricane Branch Road in the Manila area around 10:30 a.m. Thursday in regard to a shooting. Deputies say they met with the caller on scene, who told them he had shot an acquaintance after the two got into an altercation when the man allegedly forcefully entered his home.
Deputies say shortly after speaking with the caller, they found the man at his own home. The man, identified as 43-year-old Billy Wheatley, had been shot and was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to the Boone County Sheriff’s Office.
