The Perfect Home by Daniel Kenitz (Audiobook)
The Perfect Home is a domestic thriller and I do love when a good one comes my way. I really like this cover as well with the colors and the house kind of highlighted in the background. It would catch my eye if I was out book shopping.
Dawn and her husband Wyatt are reality stars in their home renovation show. Wyatt thrives on the celebrity status while Dawn doesn’t like it as much. Her desire is to be a mother but the couple has infertility issues with Wyatt the reason. Wyatt, being the kind of man who can’t deal with that blow to his ego, takes an experimental drug which does help them get pregnant. However it changes his personality drastically and not in a good way. As the story unfolds Dawn discovers that Wyatt is hatching a horrific plan to make them even more popular and it terrifies her enough to take their twins and leave. Wyatt goes live with it and turns everyone against her, even friends. Dawn runs from place to place just trying to keep her babies safe while coming up with her own plan to outwit her husband and get her life back.
The audiobook was great with narrators Michael Crouch and Amanda Stribling. I haven’t listened to Micheal Crouch before but he has a nice voice to listen to. I have listened to Amanda Stribling in other audiobooks and she has a wonderful voice for storytelling. Together they did an awesome job bringing the suspense of the story to life.
Recommended for those who enjoy thrillers. It was an enjoyable listen for me!
