Is the Antichrist the Mahdi Who Has Just Made it to the World Stage? This Article Deserves a Look.

Before we talk about the man who has just come forth claiming that he is the MAHDI, let’s take a look at who the “Mahdi” is by definition, as described in Islamic eschatology. We’ll then compare this figure to the teachings of the Bible relating to the antichrist. It’s a fascinating and sobering study—because there are strong prophetic parallels, and many Christian scholars believe the Mahdi figure in Islam will correspond to the Beast or Antichrist in biblical prophecy.

Who Is the Mahdi in Islam?

In Islamic eschatology, the Mahdi is a messianic (Messiah) figure who will:

• Make a peace agreement with the Jews for a period of 7 years.
• Appear in the last days
• Unite the Muslim world under Islam
• Defeat the enemies of Islam
• Establish a global caliphate (Islamic government)
• Rule for 7 to 9 years
• Work closely with Isa (Jesus)—who in Islam is not God but a prophet who returns to assist the Mahdi

Now compare this with the Antichrist of the Book of Revelation (KJV).

Who Is the Beast in Revelation?

The Beast in Daniel 9 and Revelation 13, is:

• Will make a peace agreement with Israel for the period of 7 years (Daniel 9:27)
• A global leader empowered by Satan (v. 2)
• Rises out of the sea (symbol of nations)
• Rules the world politically and religiously for 42 months (3.5 years)
• Demands worship (v. 4, 8)
• Has a false prophet who works miracles to support him (v. 11–18)
• Makes war with the saints (v. 7)
• Forces all to take a mark (666) to buy and sell (v. 16–18)

Parallels Between the Mahdi and the Beast (Antichrist):

Is the Mahdi here today?

Yes, he claims to be. His name is Aba Al-Sadiq Abdullah Hashem, who has just taken to the world stage and announced that he is the mahdi. Here is his picture. 

In recent weeks, this man has gone viral on social media platforms like TikTok and Facebook Reels, boldly claiming to be both the long-awaited Imam Mahdi of Islam and the returning Jesus Christ.

He asserts descent from the bloodline of Prophet Muhammad and demands global submission—particularly from the West—warning of divine punishment for disobedience. These declarations are not only theologically heretical but also spiritually dangerous.

There have been several individuals prior to this man who have claimed to be the Mahdi. They have done this for the purpose of:

 Religious Appeal: The Mahdi figure holds deep eschatological and emotional power in the Muslim world.

 Political Use: Some claimants used the Mahdi title for revolution or legitimacy.

 Social Movements: Followers often included the poor or oppressed seeking justice and hope.

 Consequences: These movements usually led to civil war, bloodshed, or the persecution of the followers.

So, while the Bible is very telling of who the antichrist will be, and the description of the Mahdi is very similar in the characteristics of the antichrist, we cannot conclude that someone claiming to be the Mahdi is actually the antichrist.

As always, there are things that we can do to see through this confusion. It is a simple as verifying the facts that we currently have. We KNOW that the antichrist will be seen as a very likable, brilliant leader bringing a peace to the world. He will be involved in the 7-year peace agreement with Israel, allowing the temple to be built upon the temple mount in Israel. He will also work miracles. He will destroy those who do not follow him.

So, has Aba Al-Sadiq Abdullah Hashem done any of these things? He has only threatened to destroy those who do not follow him, but has not yet started on this claim. Nothing other than that, but it is worth keeping an eye on him. We should also be looking for any new leader that starts displaying the known characteristics of the antichrist, as detailed in the bible.

It will not be difficult to flush out the real antichrist. The telling sign to me will be the person who makes the upcoming 7-year peace agreement with Israel possible. He will be a part of this monumental agreement. Then you will see him rise as a great leader bringing a “False Peace” to the world.

In your discovery of truth, get in the habit right now of going to God for answers concerning the events, people, and direction during these end times. We will not be able to successfully navigate these waters without including Him! You don’t need to rely upon your church leader for truthful answers…Ask God! He will tell you by the feelings and emotions that you will have while confirming the truth.

Why is it important that we identify the antichrist? This is such an awesome question because of the answer. He will be a great deceiver…The best of the best in the art of deception. If you do not know what you are looking for right now, chances are that you might be deceived by his amazing skills, and fall for his teachings, ultimately taking upon his mark and suffering the wrath of God.

Know this, and then tell everyone that you know and love about what is coming. You can’t be deceived if you know what to look for. Those who are awake, and watching for this deceiver, will be strong in fighting the seduction that the antichrist will bring.

We will know that he is the antichrist, and again tell everyone that we know and love who he really is. However, it is important to teach this right now, rather than try later to convince people and compete with his illusion brilliance of the antichrist when he arrives, and is luring in everyone to follow him and his plan.
