Legislators, if you are on the fence about voting FOR SB2, watch this eye-opening video lecture from Dr. Phyllis Mullenix, PhD in which she discusses the toxicity of fluoridation at the International Academy of Oral Medicine & Toxicology (IAOMT) in Las Vegas 2009. This lecture is powerful! It’s an hour and fifteen minutes but worth every minute because this video explains EVERYTHING!

The 2011 state fluoride mandate that was forced on most of the Arkansas population overstepped its boundaries.

Previously, the only source of exposure to fluoride was that which occurred naturally in drinking water or food as a result of the geological composition of soils and bedrock.

However, now we exceed exposure to fluoride which comes from many more sources, including fluoridated dental products such as toothpaste and mouthwash, sports drinks, sodas, or anything made with fluoridated water, as well as the addition of this toxic fluoride chemical known as a hazardous waste product from the phosphate fertilizer industry, into drinking water. The decision to add this hazardous waste/chemical fluoride was strictly made by a state mandate and did NOT directly involve the EPA.

Once again, on the bag in which it’s transported
is a WARNING that it’s a highly TOXIC chemical:

Now you know…

Law prohibits the EPA from requiring the addition of substances to drinking water for preventive health care purposes. This means the EPA cannot mandate fluoridation, as it’s considered a public health measure rather than a necessary treatment for safe drinking water. So, the EPA cannot force communities to add chemical/synthetic/toxic waste fluoride to their water supplies!

However, there was an EPA policy that allowed states to fluoridate their water systems… but their reckless policies DO NOT override Safe Drinking Water Act regulations!

Quoting the EPA from January 2021: 

Fluoridation is not required by the EPA, which is prohibited by the Safe Drinking Water Act from requiring the addition of any substance to drinking water for preventive health care purposes.

EPA policies are NOT legally binding requirements!

Federal Judge Edward M. Chen wrote:

“In all, there is substantial and scientifically credible evidence establishing that fluoride poses a risk to human health; it is associated with a reduction in the IQ of children and is hazardous at dosages that are far too close to fluoride levels in the drinking water of the United States…

Reduced IQ poses serious harm. Studies have linked IQ decrements of even one or two points to, e.g., reduced educational attainment, employment status, productivity, and earned wages.

One thing the EPA cannot do, however, in the face of this Court’s finding, is to ignore that risk.”

Legislators, the only effective way that you can eliminate the risk posed by adding toxic fluoride chemicals to our drinking water… is to stop adding it!

So far, Hawaii is the only state that bans fluoridation, but we expect that to change in the near future!

Since fluoride is accumulative, excessive consumption of this toxic chemical is linked to bone weakening and lower IQ in children, etc. Scientists have known for decades that too much fluoride can lead to bone disease and other serious illnesses.  Even EPA officials have testified that fluoride is neurotoxic, meaning it can cause damage to the brain and nervous system.

Let’s take a look at what ingesting fluoride does to animals, let alone what it does to humans over time! Watering your livestock or pets with fluoridated water isn’t a healthy practice.

This video entitled “Poisoned Horses” exposes a LOT, as Dr. David Kennedy, dentist and researcher, presents an amazing video story of tremendous courage and resolve.

Cathy and Wayne Justus of Pagosa Springs, Colorado experienced incredible debilitating symptoms in their world class quarter horses and their dogs with seemingly no source or reason.

After the death of Cathy’s prize horse, the local veterinarian tested for every known possible cause, but could not come up with an explanation. It was not until Dr. Lennart Krook, Professor Emeritus of Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine, tested for fluoride toxicity that Wayne and Cathy knew for certain what was killing their horses:  

they had been poisoned by fluoride in their drinking water.

INTRODUCTION: Although the literature on fluorosis in cattle is extensive, information about fluorosis in horses is almost nonexistent. A 1974 US National Academy of Sciences–National Research Council report on effects of fluoride in animals gave only one reference to horses in which dental and radiographic skeletal changes were described in horses grazing in areas where cattle and sheep had developed severe fluorosis. The report stated: “No carefully controlled studies have been conducted to determine the effect of excessive fluoride ingestion on horses.” Here we present evidence that artificial water fluoridation can cause serious fluorosis in horses.

Quarter horses consuming artificially fluoridated water (up to 1.3 ppm F) for extended periods of time developed classical symptoms of chronic fluoride intoxication including dental fluorosis, crooked legs, hyperostosis and enostosis, hoof deformities, and microscopic evidence of reduced bone resorption. These symptoms began to appear about two years after fluoridation started in 1985 and gradually became more severe.

Click here to read a very eye-opening letter by Cathy Justus.  She’s Fluoride Action Network’s National Spokesperson against Fluoride Poisoning in Animals.  Her letter is a 24-page documented account of how her animals were poisoned.  These animals were INGESTING fluoride on a daily basis from the public drinking water supply.

Please consider this, from her letter, about looking into the true source of her horses’ illness, suffering, and death from fluoride poisoning:

I was raised to be independent of the good or bad opinions of others, to listen, and then to do my own research and come to my own conclusion.  I was also taught to never be swayed by other’s words and especially when there is the possibility of these others to profit from what they say and promote.  

My favorite quote is,  “You simply must not ignore the facts because of your  preconceived notions” Dr. Max Gerson.   By saying something over and over, and saying it with authority, like the USPHS, CDC, EPA, ADA, etc. have done for over 60 years about fluoride’s safety and efficiency, does not make what they say true, nor does it change the fluoride damning true science proven in over 60,000 world wide independent research studies.  These so called self-proclaimed experts just count on you not doing your due diligence and taking their word as the gospel.  

These agencies promote and market fluoridation disregarding the importance of FDA drug regulatory approval being totally missing and the fact that there are no scientific safety studies that have been done in the case of the fluoridation product. They disregard this lack of FDA approval, which shows their lack of concern to protect the public.  No high quality studies are ever provided by them to support their claims of either safety or efficiency because there are none.  They just count on you depending on their letters after their names as proof of their knowledge and words.

This letter was regularly sent out to mayors, city councils, quorum courts, and water municipalities to make them aware of the dangers of fluoridation.  

PLEASE read it in its entirety, and print it and pass this information out.

Many experts now say that fluoride is the number one most consumed and absorbed toxin in humans, and it is mass medication without consent.  Someone please tell us how this poison fluoride dosage is controlled!  This goes against all the rules of pharmacology!  

FLUORIDE IS POISON which comes from the phosphate fertilizer industry!

Thankfully, because of Cathy’s tenacious insistence with the local water department concerning the science of the issue, and because citizens of Pagosa Springs had educated themselves, fluoridation was eventually stopped in their community.

We are very happy to report that Wayne and Cathy’s current horses and dogs are now living healthy, happy lives with no fluoride symptoms whatsoever now that fluoridation has been stopped in Pagosa Springs.

Cathy also writes:

“I forgot to mention that on the ‘Poisoned Horses’, what wasn’t explained is why my Palomino gelding, Win, is loping along in the pasture with his head down. If he was out in the pasture for over an hour with his head down eating grass, he physically could not pick his head up for hours from the skeletal damage fluoride did to him.”

Please take the time to watch the video because it will open your eyes and break your heart!

Secure Arkansas would also like to add that if you are not worried about your own children consuming toxic fluoride, then possibly the animals’ reaction to fluoride might get your attention.

The fluoride mandate (Act 197) is a grave travesty upon the people — and animals — of Arkansas.

Overview of Fluoride Poisoning  

(Fluorosis)  

Both acute and chronic toxicoses are reported with fluoride ingestion. Maximum tolerance levels in animal feeds range from ~20–50 mg/kg (dry weight) in most species. In poultry, as much as 200 mg/kg can be tolerated. These tolerances may vary depending on age, duration of exposure, and nutritional status. Animals with a long, productive life span such as dairy cattle are more susceptible.

Fluoride is known to interact with various elements, including aluminum, calcium, phosphorus, and iodine. Fluoride is a cellular poison that interferes with the metabolism of essential metals such as magnesium, manganese, iron, copper, and zinc.

If exposure occurs during pregnancy, developing bones and teeth are severely affected. Faulty, irregular mineralization of the matrix associated with altered ameloblastic, odontoblastic, or osteoblastic activity ultimately results in poor enamel formation, exostosis, sclerosis, and osteoporosis.

Acute poisoning associated with massive ingestion of ascaricides (sodium fluoride), rodenticides (sodium fluorosilicate), or oral dental products will produce clinical disease within 2 hr. The fatal dosage of sodium fluoride is ~5–10 mg/kg. Toxic manifestations may be evident after consumption of ~1 mg/kg. Serum calcium and magnesium concentrations decline rapidly after the onset of the clinical syndrome. Severe gastroenteritis, salivation, restlessness, sweating, anorexia, muscle weakness, stiffness, dyspnea, ventricular tachycardia, and clonic convulsions followed by depression and death are typically seen. Chronic fluorosis is characterized by unthrifty animals with skeletal and dental abnormalities. Reduced feed and water intake accompanied by poor weight gain and milk production reflect dental lesions and impaired mastication. Mottled, chalky, pitted and stained enamel, and uneven and excessive wear on the teeth are frequently seen. Dental pain manifested by lapping of drinking water may be apparent. Skeletal abnormalities associated with increased bone resorption and remodeling produces severe lameness, stiffness, abnormal hoof growth, and exostoses. In later stages of the syndrome, severely affected cattle may be forced to move on their knees because of spurring and bridging of joints. Periosteal hyperostosis is seen on ribs. Metabolically active and growing bones of young animals are more severely affected. Anemia and hypothyroidism manifested by reduced T3 and T4 levels plus reduced serum calcium concentrations are often present.  

Legislators, please vote YES on SB2, for our health and wellbeing, our children’s and grandchildren’s health and wellbeing, and that of our animals and environment.
