SP Jagadish issued a stern warning against the use of loud silencers, reminding motorists that such modifications violate the provisions of the Motor Vehicles Act.
- Legal consequences: Offenders face up to 3 months in jail, fines of up to Rs 10,000, and a 3-month suspension of their driving licenses.
- Mechanics also liable: Mechanics involved in making such modifications will also face criminal action.
