Rajahmundry – Andhra Pradesh (Before It’s News – IC): Threats against Deputy Cheif Minister Pawan Kalyan and Home Minister Anitha have sparked fresh concerns over law and order in Andhra Pradesh. The alleged conspiracies and the involvement of mercenary gangs point to deeper issues of political and social instability.
“Swift action is not just necessary; it is a duty to restore confidence in the government’s ability to maintain law and order,” Srinivas reiterates.

Conspiracy to target Pawan Kalyan: A recurring threat
In the past, reports emerged from Pawan Kalyan’s office claiming that a plot to assassinate him was hatched in Hyderabad. Despite his current position as Deputy Chief Minister, threats against him persist.
Recent allegations suggest that mercenaries involved in an earlier attack on Pawan Kalyan’s residence in Hyderabad were paid hefty amounts of Rs 200–300 crore. Speculations are now rife that the current threats involve an even larger “supari” of Rs 500 crore, as hinted at by corporate media reports.
Meda Srinivas raises the critical question: Who benefits from eliminating Pawan Kalyan? He argues that while Pawan may be seen as a controversial figure, the rationale behind such high-level targeting is puzzling.

Home Minister Anitha also under threat
The situation has escalated with reports that Home Minister Anitha has received similar threats. Srinivas suggests that this could be a diversionary tactic by mercenary gangs or part of a larger political conspiracy.
The targeting of both Pawan Kalyan and Anitha points to organized attempts to undermine the coalition government led by Chandrababu Naidu. These developments raise serious concerns about the state’s capacity to ensure the safety of high-profile figures.

Political conspiracy or criminal nexus?
Srinivas questions whether these threats stem from mercenary gangs or are politically motivated. He calls for a comprehensive investigation to uncover the truth behind these alarming incidents. He emphasizes that the Andhra Pradesh Police, known for their expertise in solving complex cases, must act swiftly to identify and apprehend those responsible.

Urgency for government action
The failure of the Chandrababu Naidu-led coalition government to address these threats decisively could lead to widespread criticism. Meda Srinivas stresses that ensuring peace and security is paramount and warns that ignoring these conspiracies could destabilize the state further.
“Swift action is not just necessary; it is a duty to restore confidence in the government’s ability to maintain law and order,” Srinivas concludes.
