More details have come out in the investigation into the murder of an 11-year-old girl in Epinay-sur-Ogre (Essonne), France. Authorities have announced that the DNA of the principal suspect, a 23-year-old male, was recovered from the hands of the victim, identified only as Louise. In addition, he was found to have traces of cuts on his fingers. Furthermore, both his parents and his girlfriend are now in custody for failure to report a crime. All previous suspects both in Epinay and Rouen, have been released.
The below article in Francebleu is translated by Fousesquawk. (Note that while this article does not name the suspect, other French sources are identifying him as Owen L., a French citizen.)

The investigation into the murder of Louise, 11, found in a wooded area in Essonne during the night of Friday into Saturday, is accelerating. While 4 persons are in custody on Tuesday, “the DNA of the principal suspect has been recovered from the hands of the schoolgirl,” the prosecutor of Evry announced Tuesday in a press release. “Several hearings are now in progress. The custody of the 4 will be extended this evening,” he indicates.
From a source close to the case to Francinfo (news), the principal suspect, age 23, arrested Monday evening and interrogated for the murder of a minor under the age of 15, had traces of cuts on his fingers. He lives in Epinay-sur-Orge, as does Louise’s family. It is notably an investigation in the neighborhood that led to his identification. His father, his mother, and his girlfriend have been placed in custody for not reporting a crime. These three persons were placed in custody after inconsistencies in their initial statements as witnesses, according to the same source. Their ages respectively are 49, 48, and 23 years.
The investigators are also continuing the use of the victim’s cell phone found near her body in the wooded area of Templiers in Essonne. The weapon of the crime, a sharp object with which the murderer struck Louise about 10 times, has not yet been found. Custody of the two persons arrested Monday in Rouen, however, was lifted, as was that of the couple arrested in Essonne Saturday, released without charges.
