An Early Look at the Ravens’ Super Bowl LX Odds

September feels like a long way off right now, especially when you consider the disappointing end to last season is fresh in the memory of most Ravens’ fans. Yet, there is plenty of work to do to address the team’s off-season needs, and it sure does look like this will be an important period of reflection for a team that only occasionally played to its full potential last season.
Nonetheless, it is interesting to see that the Super Bowl odds for next season have already been released, and the Ravens’ position – at least in the eyes of the betting firms – is quite intriguing. To make a long story short, the Ravens are co-second-favorites (odds sourced from DraftKings), just behind the Kansas City Chiefs.
As it stands, the Ravens have a price of +650 for Super Bowl LX. They are tied with the Buffalo Bills yet ahead of teams like the Detroit Lions and Philadelphia Eagles. The Chiefs lead the betting markets with odds of +600, which is unsurprising for a team that has reached five of the last six Super Bowls.
Early odds should be treated with caution
Now, ostensibly, this looks like a lot of faith being put in the Ravens, particularly when you see that they have been put ahead of the Eagles and, to an extent, the Lions, who were deemed the best-performing team across the regular season. However, there are a few caveats we should add.
The first is that sportsbooks are always somewhat tentative when putting out odds almost nine months before the season starts and a full year before the Super Bowl LX. They are well aware that teams, including the Ravens, can do business with trades, free agency, and even April’s Draft. The odds, as you will be well aware, will shift.
Secondly, early betting odds are far from being prophetic. To ram home the point, consider that the San Francisco 49ers were in a similar position to where the Ravens are now in the betting markets, and they ended up going through a turgid 2024 season, not getting anywhere near the Playoffs.
The Ravens have business in the offseason
Yet, it is also worth remembering that sportsbooks do not pluck odds out of thin air. Their algorithms and actuary will have gone into detail on every team, and it’s clear that the number crunching spat out the Ravens as contenders. They’ll take everything into account, even the strength of schedule. As an aside, the Ravens’ strength of schedule in 2025 is considered the 9th toughest in the NFL next season. The Ravens’ schedule was considered the 2nd toughest last season.
Getting back to the Super Bowl LX odds, you can gather that the sportsbooks believe – at least at this point – the Ravens will come back stronger next season. There are going to be some crucial moves, including the potential replacement of departing players like Patrick Mekari. They also need to do something about the cornerback position. The point, though, is that the expectation must match the reality.
In the end, we will have to see what happens over the spring and summer. Today, the Ravens are second-favorites for Super Bowl LX. Most fans would be happy to see the team placed in that position at the start of the season. Once the season gets underway, though, it’s time to earn it.
