Chicago Bears’ Tyrique Stevenson gets trolled in Chargers 2025 schedule release video

Chicago Bears fans haven’t forgotten about the team’s Hail Mary disaster against the Washington Commanders. Apparently neither have the Los Angeles Chargers or their social media team.
Outside of simply losing the game, Chicago’s nightmare was made worse by the actions of cornerback Tyrique Stevenson. As the Hail Mary was still live, Stevenson was seen taunting the crowd rather than covering his receiver. When Noah Brown came down with the bomb, the cornerback’s decision was made even more embarrassing.
But the Chargers have no problems digging up old wounds. In their 2025 schedule release video, Los Angeles trolled Stevenson in Minecraft form. He’s seen gesturing towards the crowd, like he did during the Hail Mary around the 4:13 mark.
should we REALLY make our schedule release video in minecraft?

Chicago Bears Hail Mary chain reaction
Poised to win the game as time expired, losing to the Commanders how they did completely took the air out of the Bears’ season. They would go on to lose 10 straight games, seeing both offensive coordinator and head coach Matt Eberflus. It was the first time Chicago had fired their head coach midseason.
Had the Bears won the game, they would’ve moved to 5-2. The narrative surrounding then head coach Matt Eberflus and quarterback Caleb Williams would’ve bene completely different. But at the same time, Chicago’s fall off after their Hail Mary loss played a big role in bringing Ben Johnson to town.
When general manager Ryan Poles was looking for the next Bears head coach, he specifically asked candidates how they would handle the Commanders loss. Johnson’s answer specifically resonated with Poles, helping him land the job. The head coach will have an opportunity to prove things are different in Chicago this year as the Bears are scheduled to take on the Commanders in a rematch in Week 6 on Monday Night Football.
As for Stevenson, the cornerback is still poised to enter the 2025 starting opposite of Jaylon Johnson. However, the Commanders game was just a glimpse of his brutal 2024 campaign. Stevenson earned a 58.9 grade from Pro Football Focus, ranking 134/222 cornerbacks. Still, only 24-years-old, the Bears have high hopes for Stevenson. His six total interceptions over his first two seasons are surely impressive.
But what Johnson and the new Chicago regime won’t tolerate is what went down against the Commanders. Their loss highlighted the true dysfunction in the Bears locker room and ultimately sent the team spiraling. Now, Johnson is looking to build a new foundation and start a new era of Bears football. His players won’t take a single play off, no matter the scenario.
When fans look back on the Johnson era, they’re hoping the Hail Mary embarrassment is simply a footnote in what led the head coach to Chicago greatness. Until then, the Bears will continue to try and prove they’re a much stronger and smarter franchise.
