Bally’s Q4 Revenue Drops 5.1% Despite Strong North America Interactive Growth
Bally’s Corporation’s latest financial results were hardly surprising. The company has reported a 5.1% revenue drop in Q4 2024, bringing in $580.4 million for the quarter, with its Casinos & Resorts segment taking the biggest hit.
And while the company’s full-year revenue remained around $2.5 billion, with a marginal 0.1% increase, the last quarter showed many weaknesses in its operations.
Casinos & Resorts revenue fell 5.2% to $324.4 million, impacted by construction disruptions in Rhode Island and shifting player trends in Atlantic City.
Meanwhile, Kansas City showed stronger results, benefiting from a newly launched high-limit gaming area that helped drive revenue growth.
Despite the weaker casino performance, Bally’s saw a major boost in its North America Interactive division.
The segment surged by 24.4% in Q4, bringing in $41.5 million, and saw full-year revenue jump 58% to $177.9 million.
However, platform migration issues led to an adjusted EBITDAR loss of $12.3 million for the segment, showing that digital growth still needs time.
Indeed, with so many changes happening across the country, more players are switching to cashtocode-casinos.com for instant deposits and withdrawals without the hassle of banks. A quick barcode purchase is all it takes to fund an account and jump into the action, keeping the process fast, secure, and totally private.
As banking restrictions tighten and slow transactions frustrate users, easy payment options are modern again, removing all sneaky fees along the way.
With payment flexibility becoming a bigger priority for players, casinos are also adjusting their strategies to stay competitive in the growing market.
Meanwhile, Bally’s International Interactive division, which runs online operations outside North America, reported a 9.1% drop in Q4 revenue, bringing in $214.5 million.
The decline was mostly because of Bally’s decision to exit its Asian interactive business, as it wanted to focus on regulated European markets.
Despite that, the UK market performed well, with revenue climbing 11.3% as the company improved player retention and adjusted its strategies.
In fact, without the Asian divestiture, International Interactive’s revenue would have been up nearly 13%.
As Bally’s works to stabilize its operations and shift its focus to more profitable regions, its digital growth is beginning to show real promise.
This strategic refocus has become clear with a few big deals, including acquisitions from The Queen Casino & Entertainment and Standard General.
Recently, these have expanded Bally’s presence across key U.S. markets, bringing in a combined $57.6 million in Q4 revenue and $225.2 million for the whole year.
So, building on this momentum, Bally’s has started upgrading existing properties.
Two top locations, the Belle of Baton Rouge and Casino Queen Marquette, are undergoing extensive enhancements, including landside conversions that are expected to deliver significant long-term revenue growth.
Looking ahead, Bally’s plans to strengthen its land-based casino operations while continuing to grow its digital gaming presence.
The permanent Chicago casino is now under construction, and redevelopment efforts in Las Vegas are moving forward, including the planned demolition of the Tropicana to make way for the Oakland A’s new home.
Since everything seems right at the moment, leadership has enough time to cut costs and improve efficiency.
Integrating the Queen assets is expected to lift casino revenue, while progress in North America Interactive operations should help resolve ongoing platform issues.
Despite recent challenges, Bally’s is betting on strategic investments in physical and digital properties to set the foundation for long-term success.
And with all these improvements, they’re surely on the right track.
