The Antichrist – Another Revealing Clue Just Discovered!

In my study of the end times, which has consumed most of my time for the past 10 years, I’m often amazed how learning is an evolving process. I can study the same things over and over, then one day, when reading a context of scripture, something can be as if I am reading it for the first time…revealing something hidden that I had not considered before.

Trust in God’s Timing – Some passages will become clearer when the time is right (Ecclesiastes 3:1). “To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:”

This verse reminds us that God has appointed times for everything in life. Whether it’s learning, growing, struggling, or waiting, His timing is always perfect. If you’re seeking to grow in understanding of the Bible or in your walk with Christ, trust that God will reveal His truth to you in the right season.

This happened to me today in my studies.

In studying ancient Rome, I wanted to find the “modern countries” that would have been included in the boundaries of Ancient Rome during the time that Jesus was upon the earth. Here is what I found:

What the Roman Empire Included (1st Century AD, Time of Jesus)

• The empire controlled the Mediterranean region, including:
  • Southern Europe (Italy, Spain, Portugal, France, Greece, the Balkans)
  • North Africa (Egypt, Libya, Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco)
  • The Middle East (Israel, Syria, Jordan, Turkey)
• It did not fully control:
  • Most of Germany (only parts of the west)
  • Scandinavia (Norway, Sweden, Denmark)
  • Most of Eastern Europe (Russia, Poland, Ukraine, etc.)

So, why is this important in flushing out details of the antichrist? This scripture was very telling to me as I read it this morning.

1. Daniel 9:26-27 – The Prince That Shall Come

“And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.
And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.”

Interpretation:

• The “people of the prince that shall come” refers to the Romans, who destroyed Jerusalem and the Temple in 70 AD.
• This suggests that the Antichrist (“the prince that shall come”) will emerge from the same people—meaning from the remnants of the Roman Empire.
• He will make a seven-year covenant (often linked to the Tribulation) and break it at the halfway point.

Breaking It Down:

• “Messiah shall be cut off” → This refers to the crucifixion of Jesus Christ.
• “The people of the prince that shall come” → This phrase is crucial.
  • The people who destroyed Jerusalem and the Temple were the Romans (in 70 AD, under General Titus).
  • The “prince that shall come” refers to the Antichrist.
  • Since the Antichrist is connected to the people who destroyed the Temple (the Romans), this suggests that he will arise from the remnants of the Roman Empire.

Here is another scripture that ties in with this logic.

2. Daniel 7:7-8, 23-25 – The Fourth Beast (Rome) and the Little Horn (Antichrist)

“After this I saw in the night visions, and behold a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, and strong exceedingly; and it had great iron teeth: it devoured and brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with the feet of it: and it was diverse from all the beasts that were before it; and it had ten horns.
I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another little horn, before whom there were three of the first horns plucked up by the roots: and, behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things.”

Interpretation:

• The fourth beast represents the Roman Empire.
• The ten horns symbolize ten kings or nations that will arise from a revived Roman system.
• The “little horn” (Antichrist) rises from among them, meaning he comes from a revived Roman system.

And yet another:

3. Revelation 13:1-2 – The Beast Out of the Sea

“And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.
And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.”

Interpretation:

• This beast combines elements from Daniel’s previous world empires (Babylon, Persia, Greece) but is largely linked to the Roman system.
• The ten horns and ten crowns match the prophecy in Daniel 7, again linking the Antichrist to a revived form of the Roman Empire.

This is a very huge discover for me, as I search to discover more details regarding the antichrist. Based on biblical prophecy, the Antichrist will likely rise as a leader from within the territory of the former Roman Empire.

So, obviously, we can eliminate President Trump as a potential leader becoming the antichrist. I am still very convinced that some of the things that he is doing are “setting the stage” for the rule of the antichrist, but we can exclude him as being that leader.

In the above scripture in Daniel 9 –“And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week…” This indeed is the most telling, and will identify the antichrist without question, as he will participate in creating and signing a 7-year peace treaty with Israel and its neighboring nations. I watch for this daily, so that I will be able to keep you all informed when this happens.

So then, which leaders currently in the bounds of the ancient Roman empire could arise to be such a candidate? Will it be someone who is currently in a position of power, or will it be someone entirely new? Time will tell.

In conclusion. I’m certain that you are aware of what is currently going on regarding the potential for World War lll. The United States, Iran, Russia, Israel, Southern Sudan, China, Myanmar, Democratic of the Congo, Houthi, Yemen, Palestine, and others are gearing up for war. Things have escalated at a rapid rate, which is frightful. But remember…

Peace, or a “False Peace” is a big part of the last days agenda. It is my own personal belief that all of this posturing will bring the antichrist to the world stage. He will be the one to resolve this very messy time that we are currently in. There has never been a greater time for mankind to have a leader emerge to bring peace to the world. This in itself fits the agenda of the end times.
