A key component of this transformation is the company’s investment in Apptronik, a Texas-based robotics firm specializing in AI-powered humanoid robots. Mercedes-Benz has invested a low double-digit million-euro sum in Apptronik and is currently testing its “Apollo” robots for tasks such as moving components to the production line and conducting quality checks. These trials are underway at the Berlin facility and in Kecskemét, Hungary, with plans to expand to additional sites.
