What DOGE Is Really Doing

Rallies across America are exposing the ongoing rift between Americans, with one side loudly protesting Elon Musk and his Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), and the other side proudly showing their support for the wonderful work being done by exposing government fraud and waste, all the while saving taxpayer money. Maybe there is validity to both sides.
On March 27, 2025, Fox newscaster Bret Baier interviewed the “DOGE team”, led by World Economic Forum Young Global Leader graduate Elon Musk, about their work in eliminating government waste and fraud. Overall, the interview was upbeat and positive, reporting on all the good being accomplished for Americans, and that the team is all American normal, just like the viewer. Oh yeah, don’t forget about the open transparency of their work, especially through the DOGE website. But nowhere is it explained “how” they are conducting these virtuous deeds or how changes are made.
Joe Gebbia reported at the 8:30″ mark that retirement paper documents found in a cave can be “digitized” in a manner of days rather than months. The only way to digitize documents in that time frame is with artificial intelligence (AI), but he leaves that part out. It is a clue to how their work is conducted.

At the 16:05″ mark Musk had been prattling on about the sorry state of government computers, causing disruption of services to Americans, and that “we’re fixing it”. Baier then asks, “Does that include the use of AI?” Musk never answers that question but the lack of response is a clue to how changes are being made.
Later, at the 6:35″ mark, Musk explains what DOGE is doing is “consistent with the law”. In a separate lone interview at the :22″ mark, Musk states he would like to see what DOGE is doing “permanently enshrined in law”. Does that not suggest that what they are doing is not being done lawfully if it has to be put into law?
Musk claims DOGE’s work is a revolution at the 24:20″ mark, the “biggest revolution in government”, comparing it to the original Revolution, a period of time he clearly does not understand by relating this revolution to saving the “critical programs Americans depend upon”.
Information on the DOGE members, Aram Moghaddassi, Brad Smith, Anthony Armstrong, Tom Krause, and Steve Davis can be found on the links. Tyler Hassen was recently promoted to DOI Assistant Secretary of a newly created department by Secretary Doug Burgum.
In January, 2025, Musk’s nemesis Sam Altman, launched ChatGPT Gov for government agencies which assumes the role of providing service to the public such as answering questions, analyzing data, filling forms, or writing documents, along with the claim to keep “sensitive data safe” and ensuring there is “no data retention“. How can sensitive data be kept safe if there is no data retention? Aside from such silly pondering, it also encrypts data, meets cloud security standards, and “tracks every interaction to ensure transparency and accountability.” Fortunately, Potential Challenges & Concerns with ChatGPT are also listed. As yet, it does not appear ChatGPT Gov has been fully implemented in government agencies, however, DOGE has rolled out its own version called AI Chatbot or GSAi. However, will having all of that data serve Musk himself?
There are reports that DOGE is integrating AI into the government, probably to the delight of the World Economic Forum (WEF). In another report, it is disclosed that federal worker responses to five bullets on what they did at work were analyzed by AI, assessing those responses “to determine whether those jobs are necessary”. AI itself and its use in the government brings many concerns as explained by Jeff Dornik at the 14:40″ mark.
Vice President Vance stated DOGE “work is going to continue after Musk leaves” but Musk may continue to be around after he leaves. Perhaps now that AI has been integrated into the government to identify waste, the next steps will be upgrading the computer systems and reconciling the data together for AI analysis, replacing the need for federal employees in many cases.
Bottom line, the government is being transformed without any Congressional involvement, and questions are being asked.
As previously reported, Stargate is President Trump’s project that will contribute to the expansion of AI and the building of data centers. All of the data DOGE is devouring has to be stored somewhere. With government computers being made interoperable as suggested in the Baier interview, every piece of data on Americans can be linked together, a picture made of who they are and logged, with no exit.
Larry Ellison, one of the Stargate leaders, has big ideas on capturing all your data starting at the 6″ mark and again at the 17″ mark, as if he had a right to any person’s data. But that is how a technocrat thinks.
The movie Snowden was released in 2016 and covers the story of Edward Snowden who exposed the depth of surveillance being conducted by the National Security Council (NSA) on Americans and across the world. If not familiar with this movie it can be watched here, and is well worth the time.
The movie serves as a reminder that the NSA still exists, that data centers are being built across America, and that AI is flourishing. As Snowden watched the government surveil and collect data on citizens, the Utah Data Center was being built, and continues to grow today. The NSA website even lists the citizen data being collected, and stored.
It is highly questionable any surveillance or data collection has ended with the federal government, even with the laws that have been reformed with intent to stop it. And indeed it hasn’t stopped. Data is needed to feed AI for social change. The government will have AI, the data it needs, and algorithms for those changes rather than through representation. Pure technocracy.
To be fair, not everyone perceives what Snowden did as something good as was portrayed in the movie. However, Catherine Austin Fitts has her own thoughts on “Trump’s Digital Concentration Camp” being built.
Now with Stargate and its expansion of data centers, how will AI expand data collection and what will happen with the data DOGE is collecting? Has anything really changed? Or, is DOGE helping America just a front like the supposed dismantling of the Department of Education?
DOGE presents a moral dilemma for America. While on one hand it delivers good with eliminating evil, on the other hand a nefarious evil is being inserted, without full transparency. The government is not being fully transparent and the media isn’t reporting on it. Once again Americans are being lured into acceptance under the ruse of good being done. Do Americans want to support a technology that plays a role in malevolent schemes?
Once AI is fully integrated, there may be no exit from the course towards a technocratic state Maybe it is time for the two dueling factions at those rallies come together and focus on the real threat.
