The White Sox kept the trend of finding players from organizations, going by claiming a below-average infielder from the Milwaukee Brewers.

In a head-scratcher of a roster move, the White Sox announced that they have claimed infielder and pinch-hitter Vinny Capra off waivers from the Brewers organization. A spot on the White Sox 40-man and bench had opened up when the White Sox returned infielder Gage Workman to the Detroit Tigers.

What will Capra bring to the White Sox?
Capra has seen parts of four seasons in the big leagues, with the Brewers being his longest stint with a team. In those four seasons between the Brewers, the Pittsburgh Pirates, and the Toronto Blue Jays, the 28-year-old Capra has a career slash line of .105/.170/.163 with an OPS and an OPS+ of .333 and -6.
There isn’t a spot open for Capra in the infield either, as Chase Meidroth is seeing the bulk of the starting reps at short, Josh Rojas is getting the starting reps at second base, and Miguel Vargas is manning third and has been raking as of late. Will Venable will find a spot for him, and he could use Capra in a platoon with Rojas, depending on matchups.
