Operation "Giddeon’s Chariots" Has Begun – Is Israel Doing the Right Thing?!?

Operation Gideon’s Chariots is a significant military initiative launched by Israel in May 2025, marking a substantial escalation in the ongoing conflict with Hamas in the Gaza Strip. The operation aims to dismantle Hamas’s military and governing capabilities, secure the release of hostages, and establish a sustained Israeli military presence in Gaza.

Key Objectives and Strategies

Full-Scale Occupation: Unlike previous operations that involved targeted strikes followed by withdrawal, this plan involves a comprehensive occupation of Gaza. Israeli forces intend to remain in the territory to prevent Hamas from regrouping

Population Displacement: The strategy includes relocating the majority of Gaza’s 2.1 million residents to the southern part of the Strip, designated as a “sterile zone.” This move is presented as a protective measure, though it has drawn significant criticism.

Hostage Recovery: A primary goal is the release of 59 hostages still held by Hamas, with 24 believed to be alive. The operation seeks to apply pressure on Hamas to secure their release.

Destruction of Infrastructure: The plan involves the systematic destruction of buildings and infrastructure associated with Hamas, aiming to eliminate their operational capabilities.

Humanitarian Concerns and International Response

Aid Distribution: Israel plans to control humanitarian aid through distribution hubs within the occupied zones. However, aid agencies have criticized this approach, citing concerns over feasibility and legality.

International Criticism: The operation has faced condemnation from various international bodies, including the United Nations and the European Union, over concerns of potential breaches of humanitarian principles and the exacerbation of civilian suffering.

Political Implications

Domestic Opposition: Within Israel, there is growing opposition to the operation, with critics arguing that it may lead to prolonged conflict and increased casualties without guaranteeing the desired outcomes.

Timing and Geopolitical Factors: The launch of the operation coincides with U.S. President Donald Trump’s visit to the Middle East, suggesting potential geopolitical considerations in its timing.

It is ever so clear that this is the rising chaos that will lead to the signing of the 7-year peace agreement, described in Daniel 9:27

“And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.”

The Middle East is on fire right now. Israel’s Pri minister is thinking that he will proceed without the strength of the United States, as he and President Trump are at odds right now. He feels that President Trump is creating a new allegiance with other Middle Eastern Countries behind his back.

These “tantrums” are indeed very dangerous. When military action is fueled by selfish emotions and arrogance, the “plan” perhaps has not been though through deeply enough to ensure that it is the right move. Can you feel the crescendo of war brewing with the middle east? Will Damascus be involved yet fulfilling the prophecy:
